Went to the store today- only one loaf of bread per customer, no paper products, lunch meat,
etc. Reminds me of the early 40's when gas was rationed, motor oil in a glass jug, no sugar,
no chocolate, and worst thing of all, dad couldn't buy me a bicycle. Since he had wholesale
licenses he did provide sugar in 100 pound bags to some close friends who were in another occupation that I cannot talk about- that could have possibility started my interest in Harlan
County water that I brought to the tailgates.
